This foundation focused on four main areas which were education, arts and culture, environment, and community development.

If a person wants to better his or her lifestyle by taking advantage of knowledge, this foundation will provide study loans and grants. The organization has already provided aid to over 25 troubled or disadvantaged students.

The Vijayaratnam Foundation offers communities in need a way to achieve sustainable development. The organization wants to provide the means necessary to help these communities to help themselves in the future.

This goal is accomplished through the Malaysian Hindu Youth Organization founded by Vijay’s father in 1949. Read more: Dr. Vijay Eswaran – Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of the QI Group of Companies

Arts and culture have been continuously supported by the foundation, also. The foundation sponsors programs to education and increase appreciation of the arts. This sponsorship brings the Malaysian culture’s dance, fine arts, and music to the forefront.

In 2010, the foundation joined with PPD Daerah Petaling Utama and Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya to form the 1 Murid, 1 Pokok program. This program initially gave 45 students a tree to plant near their school. The students were required to care for the tree for their entire school tenure. Overall, a total of 6,000 trees were given for the project.
