Roberto Santiago is a Brazilian based entrepreneur who has a special interest in the shopping mall industry. Born in Joao Pessoa, the businessman has over the years made a name for himself after the establishment of the Manaira Shopping Mall that opened in 1989. The mall which is located in Paraiba is among the most prominent shopping centers in Joao Pessoa. Moreover, Roberto Santiago is a graduate of the University Center of Joao Pessoa where he holds a degree in Business Administration.
How Roberto Santiago Started
After finishing his university studies, Roberto Santiago engaged in his first business which was a Cartonage Company where he would supply his products to organizations. His investment consisted of manufacturing of cartons out of cardboard boxes. He later moved to the real estate sector when he managed to acquire a substantial piece of land in Joao Pessoa and later established the Manaira Shopping Mall. Further, the establishment Manaira Shopping Mall which is one of the prestigious malls led to the economic growth of the Paraiba as it also attracted investors.
About the Manaira Shopping Mall
The Manaira Shopping Mall not only serves as a place for shopping the essentials but also a recreation center for communities living in the region of Pessoa and its environs. Roberto Santiago started constructions in 1987 and took approximately two years before its inauguration on November 11, 1989. Also, since its construction, the shopping center has undergone five expansions phases in a quest to meet its customer’s needs. What’s more, the mall was built in a place with a magnificent view where it is situated in the middle of a shopping center and the north coast beaches that allow of viewing the sunset.
Furthermore, Manaira shopping mall consist of an area space of 75,000 meters squared in total while it has 280 stores. Roberto Santiago who planned the mall also ensured the mall incorporated a modern style whereby it was designed using world-class standards. Again, the total area of the land where the mall lies is close to 135000 square meters while its parking lot has a capacity of 3180 cars. It also harbors a college and a bank and various entertainment joints for children and grown-ups. Its other features include the movie theaters, restaurants, kids gaming zones, spas, gym among others.
Additionally, the movie theatres are fixed with 3D to ensure great movie experience for its audience. Also, the food court is filled with many restaurants that offer a variety of sumptuous delicacies for its clients. Another of its key development that Roberto Santiago included in its latest advancement was the integration of an entertainment hall known as the Domus Hall that was opened in 2009. The hall which occupies two floors has so far attracted musicians from all over Brazil who have performed in the facility.
